MIS is a community-oriented school with a diverse student population. Our global community offers rich opportunities for cultural sharing. Connection to our local community is one of our strongest values and our village relationships are an integral part of the life of MIS.

After school clubs

We welcome children from the school’s local village to participate in our after school clubs alongside our students. This is how we share our knowledge, skills and understanding across cultural, language and religious spheres. TOGETHER all children can learn from each other as they play and share their stories.

Field trips

We believe the best type of learning happens through hands – on experience in the marketplace. As much as possible we expose students to out-of-the classroom learning and participation in community events. These opportunities provide rich learning environments where students make meaningful connections for their literacy and numeracy skills and other skills.
