The MIS Community

MIS is a community-oriented school with a diverse student population. Our global community offers rich opportunities for cultural sharing. Connection to our local community is one of our strongest values and our village relationships are an integral part of life at MIS.

We welcome children from the school’s local village to participate in our after school clubs alongside our students. This is how we share our knowledge, skills and understanding across cultural, language and religious spheres. TOGETHER all children can learn from each other as they play and share their stories.

At MIS, our students participate in termly field trips, exploring various parts of Lombok and experiencing life beyond the cmapus. We believe that the best learning occurs through hands-on experiences in real-world settings. Whenever possible, we encourage out-of-classroom learning and participation in community events. These opportunities create rich learning environments where students can make meaningful connections, enhancing their literacy, numeracy, and a wide array of other essential skills.
